This course aims to improve your analytical skills by:

  • Learning new tips and tricks to make data and results presentations more meaningful and impactful, beyond just building graphs
  • Learning to decipher and then display key messages or stories from your data 
  • Creatively utilizing images, flow charts, and smart art to explain or tell a story with your data
  • Designing a framework for your data results presentations

Denison Edge workshops range from 2-4 hours of contact time, depending on the topic and content. To earn your badge of completion, you must attend the entire session.

Instructor:

This program is led by Amanda Swanson, a statistician and (Otterbein) MBA graduate with 15 years of product development experience, concentrated on leveraging data-focused innovation and problem-solving techniques. Identifying consumer problems and optimizing possible solutions (products) is her career passion. She has had the opportunity to share her skills with companies like Nestle, E&J Gallo Winery, and Disney and also enjoys watching baseball and practicing yoga in her free time.
