Through a combination of personal narrative and case studies, you will walk away with a better idea of what it takes to make a living as a copywriter—maybe even a creative one.

Meet Your Instructor

Jacob Osterhout is a senior writer for BRINC, a start-up public safety drone company in Seattle. He has worked as a copywriter for various advertising agencies over his career, including Leo Burnett, Grey and The Shipyard. His clients have included the NFL, Papa Johns, Febreze, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Marlboro, AEP, HP, Scotts Miracle-Gro and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Before becoming a copywriter, Jacob was a reporter for Sports Illustrated, CBS College Sports, The New York Daily News, Newsweek and The New York Times
