Build on your Excel foundation and learn advanced tools

Take your Excel skills beyond the fundamentals and learn the advanced tools professionals use to analyze data, automate repetitive tasks, and work more efficiently. This accelerator is designed for learners who already have a strong foundation in Excel and are comfortable using formulas, sorting and filtering data, creating PivotTables, and navigating spreadsheets. Completion of the Denison Edge Intro to Excel Accelerator is strongly recommended, but not required for those with equivalent experience. Through hands-on learning, you'll explore advanced formulas, Power Query, macros, data transformation, scenario modeling, and workbook management best practices to help you tackle more complex projects and work more efficiently.

This accelerator covers advanced Excel tools and techniques including: advanced formulas, Power Query for data transformation, macros for automating repetitive tasks, scenario modeling, and workbook management best practices. Participants will build hands-on skills for analyzing complex data sets, streamlining workflows, and managing multi-step projects more efficiently.

of Completion

Accelerators range from 4-12 hours of contact time. To earn your badge of completion, you must achieve a minimum of 70% in three Key Performance areas: Attendance, Participation, and Activities/Assignments. The instructor will provide a specific rubric outlining the Key Performance areas in the course syllabus.

 

 

Meet Your Instructor

Charles works at Book+Street as the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. He supports clients with numerous projects including cash flow forecasts, cap tables, financial models, systems integrations, commission trackers and deal pipelines. His job is two-fold as he also supports the internal team with operational systems and KPI reporting. In his role, Charles has also taken on the responsibility of mentoring and managing our analysts and interns. He finds immense satisfaction in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications. Prior to joining Book+Street, he was a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern at Libbey Glass where he was responsible for reporting on financial actuals each month, identifying low-margin SKUs in order to make the projection process more efficient and streamlined, and maintaining and rolling over projections month-to-month. Charles earned a BS in Finance from the Ohio State University. When he’s not working, Charles loves going to the movie’s with his fiancee, playing video games, and hanging out with his two cats.
