In this two-hour workshop, participants will learn the essential skills needed to create polished, professional documents while improving efficiency and collaboration in the workplace. This workshop will cover document formatting and styles, headers and footers, page numbering, tables and layouts, citations and references, and the tools that make document review and collaboration seamless. Participants will also learn how to use templates effectively and discover time-saving features that can streamline everyday tasks and improve document consistency. Whether you're creating reports, proposals, meeting materials, academic papers, or organizational communications, this workshop will help you produce professional documents with greater confidence and efficiency.

Meet Your Instructor

Robert Butts is an Educational Technologist who helps people build real confidence with everyday digital tools. At Denison University, he partners with professors to bring technology into the classroom in ways that are practical, creative, and easy to use. He earned his B.B.A. in Marketing from Kent State University and his M.S. in Translational Data Analytics from The Ohio State University. He has worked in higher education, K-12 education, market research, restaurants, and retail. Each of these experiences shaped the way he teaches: with patience, clear explanations, and a focus on meeting learners where they are. Robert has served as an Educational Technologist at both Denison University and The Ohio State University, worked as an educator in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and earned a Kenan Fellowship at North Carolina State University. Across these roles, he has developed a lasting love for education and a deep appreciation for the many ways people learn. In his programs, Robert focuses on making technology feel approachable, useful, and even enjoyable. When he is not working, he enjoys basketball, video games, discovering new YouTube channels, and exploring national parks with his wife
